The 1976 Buick Electra came as a coupe or four-door hardtop in 225 and Limited trim levels. In the front was a new grille with large Buick block letters and an ‘Electra’ script at the side. The grille no longer extended below the quad headlights. The full-size Electra was a well-equipped vehicle with standard equipment that included a Turbo Hydra-Matic transmission, power steering, power front disc brakes, a digital clock and power windows. The 455 cubic-inch V8 improved its fuel economy rating by 3 mpg.
